Mr Edward Thomas Tom Dalton, a resident of Chatham, formerly of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance Chatham at the age of 86 years. He was born in Dawn Township and was a son of the late Paul and Edna (Curran) Dalton. Beloved Husband of Madlyn (Lozon) Dalton. Dear father and father-in-law of Mary Anne (Dave) Henderson, Lori Dalton and the late Michael (Amy) Dalton. Loving grandfather of Eric, Sean, Bart, Beau and Daisy, dear great grandfather of Peyton. Kind brother and brother-in-law of Bill (Jane) Dalton, Alta (Pat) Johnston and Bun (Rosemarie) Lozon. Predeceased by his brothers Leo (the late Peggy) Dalton the late Dr. Eric Dalton. Sadly missed by his little k9 friend Charlie. Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home (639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg, 519-627-2861) on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Knights of Columbus prayers will be held Tuesday at 6:45 pm at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11am with visitation from 10 to 11 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. Donations to the St. Vincent de Paul or the Alzheimers Society may be left at the funeral home. A tree will be planted in the Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Tom Dalton.
