Mr. Thomas Lloyd Orton, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 82 years. Thomas was born in Chatham and was a son of the late Lloyd T. and Ruby (Eves) Orton. Beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (Thomas) Orton. Loving father of Robin Orton, Colleen Orton, Tom Orton Jr., Kevin (Crystal) Orton and Colin Orton. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Robin, Christine, Billy, Todd, Shawn, Kevin, Melissa, Melinda, Colin and 16 great grandchildren. Kind brother of Marita Laprise, Cora Carpenter, James (Marilyn) Orton and Gary (Winnifred) Orton. Predeceased by his daughter Bonnie Orton (1953), his son Ian (1962) and two brothers-in-law Ray Laprise and Lou Carpenter. Also sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 from the chapel of the funeral home, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Greg Bonin, Officiant. Cremation will follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Holy Family Roof Fund or Wallaceburg Minor Sports may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Thomas Orton.
