Mrs. Shirley Bechard, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, "Public General Campus", in Chatham, at the age of 74. Shirley was born in Thamesville and was a daughter of the late James Harmsworth, Beulah (Rich) Harmsworth and step daughter of the late Elsie Harmsworth. Beloved wife of Jim Bechard. Loving mother of Mike (Christina Luciano) Bechard and Brian (Melody) Bechard. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Paige, Peyton, Kyle, Eric, Monica, Olivia, Gabby, Peter and her great grandchildren Hayden, Delilah, Kayla and Ciaenna. Kind sister of Linda (Dennis) Guzzo, Bill (Maureen) Harmsworth and Bruce (Katy) Harmsworth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Nancy Rondeau. Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 3:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 5, 2012 from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. Ben Huyge, Celebrant. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
