Obituary

Mrs. Sarah Christina Hill, a resident of London, formerly of Wetaskiwin Alberta and Dresden Ontario, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Parkwood Hospital, London at the age of 93. Tina (aka Chris/Sarah) was born in Dresden and was a daughter of the late Ivor William and Fleda Maude (Houston) Dunlop. Tina lived with her family in Wallaceburg for many years and retired from Libby's prior to moving to Wetaskiwin where she resided and worked until 2004 before moving to London, Ontario. Loving wife of the late Thomas E. Hill of Wallaceburg and dear mother of Jo-Anne & Ken Tarita of Saskatchewan, Terry & Nelson Armstrong of London, Pamela and & the late Mel Smedley of Chatham and Cheryl and Larry Hopfe of Wetaskiwin Alberta. Wonderful Grandmother to Allan & Imogen Tarita, Bonnie & Gary Brown, Tim & Karen Tarita, Adam & Carrie Tarita, Lisa Armstrong & Karin Bauer, Brian & Lisa Armstrong, Yvonne & Shawn Dick, Heather & Norm Beber, Stephen Hopfe, Keeley & Chris Bloomer, Daniel Hopfe, Brandon Hopfe and numerous great grandchildren. Also survived by a sister-in-law Jean Dunlop of Dresden. Predeceased by daughter Elaine Strathman; brothers, Garnet Dunlop and Herald Houston and sister, Leah McKerrall. Tina's humour and quick wit will always be remembered by those lucky enough to have shared her life and the memories of these traits will bring a smile and even a laugh to us in the coming years. She was immensely proud of all her family and her gentle influence and strength will be something we will always carry with us. Thanks for the memories!! Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Cremation will take place with a Memorial Service to be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, from the chapel of the funeral home, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Brian Horrobin, Officiant. Visitation will be held half an hour prior to the service from 1:30 til 2:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Stars Air Ambulance, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Multiple Sclerosis Society may be left at the funeral home.
