Mr. Roland Laprise, a resident of Thamesville, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, at the age of 75.
Roland was born in Chatham and was a son of the late Augustine and Marie Jeanne (Moore) Laprise.
Beloved husband of Kate (Raspburg) Laprise.
Loving father of Ron (Michelle) Laprise and Kelly (Josh) Fraleigh.
Sadly missed by his grandchildren Tallie (Ben), Taryn (Hunter), Corson, Paisley and Bohden. Predeceased by one grandchild, Jaylan.
Kind brother of Laura (Jack) Renders, Dora (Orville) Couture, Theresa LeClerc, Annette (Jean Michel) Caron, Sylva (Judith) Laprise, John Paul (Bernadette) Laprise, Louis (Janice) Laprise Joseph (Christine) Laprise, Roger (Patricia) Laprise, Jerome (Nat) Laprise, Jeannette (Rob) Howlett, Leonard (France) Laprise, Claud (Virginia) Laprise and brother-in-law of Bernice Laprise, Juliette Laprise, Dave Sterling and brother-in-law of Angela (the late George) Szucs.
Predeceased by his brothers Armand, Augustine Jr., his sisters Yvette Sterling, Rochelle Laprise and Marie Anne Laprise and his in-laws Frank (Joyce) Raspburg and Barb (Eric) Williams.
Also sadly missed by his K9 buddy "Milo".
Roland was a very devoted, loving husband and extremely proud grandpa. He traveled to cheer on his grandchildren at hockey, baseball, swim meets, dance competitions, football and soccer games. His favourite days were time spent with family & friends and playing cornhole, crokinole, cards and shooting his guns.
The late Roland Laprise rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Following his wishes, cremation will take place.
An Open House Celebration of Life will be held from the Moose Lodge, in Wallaceburg, on June 25, 2023 from 1-4 p.m.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Charity of your choice may be left at the funeral home.

As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Roland Laprise.
