Mr. Robert "Bob" Thomas Pollard, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General Campus, in Chatham, at the age of 72 years. Bob was born in Owen Sound and was a son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Cobean) Pollard. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Atkins) Pollard. Loving father of Tom Pollard, Jim (Corinne) Pollard, Nancy (Richard) Weiner and Dave (Brenda) Pollard. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Brad (Sarah), Brian (Heather), Sean, Scott (Hanna), Troy and Tanner. Kind brother and brother-in-law of Ann (Les) Coleman, Mary (George) Stokes and Orville Atkins. Also survived by many nieces and a nephew. Predeceased by a brother-in-law Bob Atkins. Bob was the President of Elcon Engineering Wallaceburg Ltd. There will be no public visitation or service. In memory of Bob, the family have asked to please pass along a good deed, "pay it forward", to someone. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Oncology Unit or the Wallaceburg Salvation Army may be left at the funeral home. At Bob's request, cremation has taken place. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Bob Pollard.
