Mr. Robert Hunter, of Wallaceburg, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance "Chatham Campus" at the age of 93 years. He was a son of the late Douglas and Florence (Jackson) Hunter. Beloved husband of Lisa (nee: Van Waterschoot) (Hereygers) Hunter. Predeceased by his first wife the late Gloria (Morse) Hunter (1976). Loving father of Don Hunter, Jennifer (Doug) Wilson, Judy (Mark) Templeton, Ingrid Deprez, Karen Doherty, Jim (Monica) Hereygers, Jeff Hereygers and the late Richard Hereygers. Dear grandfather of Tara, Sean, Mitchell, Spencer, Lauren, Meredith, Shaun, Chris, Alyssa, Madison, Shannon, Tara, Matt, Marshall, Ashley and Natasha. Great-grandfather of Bianca, Kali, Kota, Lily and Aubree. Kind brother of James "Jim" Hunter, Edward "Ted" Hunter and the late Jackson "Jack" Hunter. The late Robert Hunter is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Cremation will take place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Trinity United Church, in Wallaceburg, at 11:30 am with visitation one hour prior to the service (10:30 - 11:30 am). Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg, at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in Memory of Robert Hunter.
