Mr. Robert Hazlett, a resident of Sombra, passed away suddenly, Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Chapleau Hospital, Chapleau, Ontario at the age of 70 years. He was born in Chatham Township and was a son of the late Russell and Laura (Lehoux) Hazlett. Beloved husband of Shirly (Branton) Hazlett. Loving father and father-in-law of Russel &Corinne Hazlett, Charles Hazlett, Michael & Cherie Hazlett. Loving grandfather of Andrea, Erica, Lance, Jessica (Ryan) Amanda (Greg), Tiffany (Jordan) and great grandfather of Christopher and Quentin. Kind brother of Harry Hazlett and Orval & Phyllis Hazlett and brother-in-law of Gordon Lake, Marilyn & Alfred Medd, Hattie & Melvin Mills, Joan & John Miller, Ron & Sharon Branton, Dorothy & Allan Dill, Carolyn & Rod Gallerno and Murray & Rose Branton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son David, a daughter-in-law Yvonne, a brother Roland and his sisters Mary, Clara, Bella, Elsie and Marguerite. Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, 639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg, on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday July 1, 2009 at 11 am. Interment in Arnold Cemetery, Chatham Township.
