Mr. Remi Francis Joannes DeBot, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus, Wallaceburg, at the age of 64 years. Remi was born in Chatham and was a son of the late Albert and Anna (Foulon) DeBot. Beloved husband of Susan (Smith) DeBot. Loving father of Chris (Nicole McCutcheon) and Jodi (Bob) Gormley. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Chelsea, Connor, Zachary and Brooke. Kind brother of Judy (Brian) Pierce, Brenda (Ken) DeWolf, Dennis (Connie) DeBot, Francine (Kevin) Fox and Mary Ann (Jeff) Parkes. Brother-in-law of of Roger (Marilyn) Smith. Also survived by his mother-in-law Ila Smith. Predeceased by his brother Andre DeBot. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Parish prayers Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Wallaceburg. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Association may be left at the funeral home.
