Mr. Pat Murphy, a resident of Sombra, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospice, in Sarnia, at the age of 62.

Pat was born in Sarnia and was a son of the late Melvin and Norita (Reynolds) Murphy.

Beloved husband of Marianne (Bogaart) Murphy.

Loving father of Steven (Morgan) Murphy and Lauren (Cody) Harper.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren Hank, Coulter, Waylon, Ryan and Claire.

Kind brother and brother-in-law of Alan (Janice) Murphy, Elizabeth (Ray) Demers, Becky (Kevin) Smalls, Bradlee (Hillary) Murphy, Mark (Bonnie) Bogaart and Steven "Chief" (Tina) Bogaart and son-in-law of Doreen (the late John) Bogaart.

Also missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by Melvin's second wife Mary and his brothers-in-law Jim Rohde and Robert Bogaart.

Pat was a well known and respected farmer and businessman, having served on many farm committees and was the recipient of the 2023 Lambton County Farmer of the Year. He was also an active member in his church.

Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd . 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 2-6 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church, in Port Lambton.

Interment will follow in Black Creek Cemetery, Stanley Line, Sombra, Ontario.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph's Hospice, Sarnia, Bluewater Health Foundation or Sacred Heart Food Bank may be left at the funeral home.
