Mrs. Monique (Simoneau) Breton , of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 30th, 2021 at the age of 74. She was born, raised and married in St.Come, QC then moved to Wallaceburg, ON where she raised her family. She was a beloved & valued member of the Wallaceburg community for over forty years where she played an active role on the parent council of the former Our Lady of Help elementary school, ran a home daycare, collected annual donations on behalf of the Heart and Stroke Foundation and supported local businesses through her love of shopping & delicious food. She was an incredible wife, mom, grandmaman, sister, aunt & friend. We will miss her smiles, her "comment ça vas", her Christmas punch, her infectious laughter and her ginormous hugs.
Monique was the daughter of the late Gerard and Rose-Aimée (Belanger) Simoneau.
Beloved wife of Fred Breton.
Loving mother of Diane (Jeff) Edginton and Carole (Rob) Thompson.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren Owen, Arielle, Karina, Benoit and Rose.
Kind sister and sister-in-law of André (Lise) Simoneau, Jeanne D'Arc (the late Charles) Doyon and Charlemagne Larivière .
Predeceased by her sister Cecile and her brothers Roger, Jean-Paul, Jean-Luc and Denis.
The late Monique Breton rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.
Following her wishes cremation will take place.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 9th, 2021 from Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 11:00 a.m.
With the Covid-19 restrictions, we are asking reservations be made for the funeral mass by clicking here

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
