Mrs. Melba Ann Murphy, a resident of Port Lambton, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 at the age of 66 years. She was born in Chatham and was a daughter of the late Francis and Frances (Moran) Johnston. Beloved wife of John Murphy. Loving mother of Mike (Janice) Murphy, Julie (Heather Ginzel) Demaeyer, Melinda (Craig Dixon) Murphy, David (Jana) Murphy and Diana (Roger) Hughes. Dear grandmother of Mitchel, Daniel, Taylor, Nascha, Justin, Jamison, Gavin and Carter. Kind sister of Dave (Mary Ann) Johnston, Wilma (Web) Henry, Norma (Don) Smith and Rock (Pat) Johnston. Predeceased by a brother Mac Johnston and a sister Rita Ingles. Visitation will be held Monday, January 3, 2011 from 2-4 and 6:30-8:30pm from Sacred Heart Church, in Port Lambton. Prayers will be at 6:30pm, at the church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 10 am from Sacred Heart Church, in Port Lambton. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Lambton. As an expression of sympathy donations to the V.O.N. may be left at the church or the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home (639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg, N8A 3C6, 519-627-2861). As a living memorial a tree will be planted in the Nicholls Memorial Forest.
