Mrs. Mary Van Meenen, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, "Public General Campus", in Chatham, at the age of 81 years. Mary was born in Wallaceburg and was a daughter of the late John and Dianna (Lauzon) Freeburn. Beloved wife of the late George Van Meenen (2003). Loving mother of Linda (Gord) Richmond, Susan (Bob) Van Meenen, Rick (Marcia) Van Meenen and Randy (Kelly) Van Meenen. Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Kind sister and sister-in-law of Kathleen (Emile) Goglia, Deanna Forgie, Doreen Lucier and Theresa Freeburn. Predeceased by a grandson, Chad and her brothers and sisters: Patrick Freeburn, John Freeburn, Irene Mallette and Mary Anne Troian. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg (Ph # 519 627 2861). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Wallaceburg with Fr. Ben Huyge, Celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the mass from 10 to 11 am. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
