Mrs. Maria Guidolin, a long time resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Caleb Village, in Chatham, at the age of 89 years. She was born in Loria, Italy and was a daughter of the late Francesco and Stella (Artuso) Marcolin. Beloved wife of the late Martino Guidolin (1993). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Frank (Barb) Guidolin, John (Antonietta) Guidolin, Sally (Michael) Mahoney-Bolohan and Doria (Craig) Atkinson. Dear grandmother of Margaret, Martina, Angela, Christopher, Ericka, Lindsay and great grandmother of Nathaniel and Josephine. Kind sister and sister-in-law of Michele Marcolin, BENIAMINO (Bruna) Marcolin, both of Wallaceburg, Ancilla Fabris , Angelo Marcolin, Olindo (Teresina) Marcolin, Lucia Marcolin, Ronzana (Antonio) Lauciello, Italo Marcolin, all of Italy, and Nori Franco of Australia. Predeceased by her brothers Germano Marcolin, Giuseppe Marcolin, Giulia Marcolin and a son-in-law Mike Mahoney. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from Holy Family Church in Wallaceburg with Fr. Frank Leslie, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimers Society may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Maria Guidolin.
