DeSHAW, Mrs. Mabel - A resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2009 at Fairfield Park, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her sisters Olga Cipolla of Hamilton and Roberta McDougall of New Orleans. She is the loving grandmother of Michael and Stephen Boulton and great-grandmother to Taylor Boulton. She was predeceased by her parents Antonio and Isola (Bertozzi) Rebecchi, her husband Gerald Deshaw and her two daughters, Frances Boulton and Mary Deshaw. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mabel was born in Hamilton and moved to Wallaceburg in the 1940's to begin her career as a devoted teacher. When her husband passed away she took over the Holy Family Parish Credit Union and ran it for 50 years. She was a member and past C.W.L. president of Holy Family Parish. Mabel spent her whole life taking care of People. Friends will be received at the ERIC F. NICHOLLS FUNERAL HOME, 639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg on Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Prayers, Sunday at 7pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 11am from Holy Family Church. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Holy Family Building Fund or the V.O.N. Kids Help Centre may be left at the funeral home.
