Mr. Leonard Thornton,
a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General Campus, in Chatham, at the age of 90.
Leonard was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late George and Susan (Major) Thornton. Beloved husband of the late Marion (McLaren) Thornton (2004), the love of his life. Loving father of Janice Durfy and Suzanne (Dennis) Patterson, both of Wallaceburg. Dear grandfather of Michael (Jenny) Baker and their children, Hailey and Reece, James (Kim) Baker and Nicole Patterson. Predeceased by a granddaughter Tiffany and his siblings and their spouses William (Phyllis), Phyllis (William) Davies, Beatrice (Michael) Charron, Evelyn (John) Mickie and Spencer. Survived by his sister-in-law Barbara. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Leonard was a carpenter and builder for over 40 years, proud of his military service and loved visiting with his friends daily at various coffee shops in town.

At Leonard's request, cremation will take place.
A graveside service will be held December 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. from Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. A Celebration of Life will follow.
