Kerry
Stone
May 5, 1957 — Jan 24, 2026
With her loving family by her side, Kerry passed away peacefully at 68 years young on January 24, 2026 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice. Beloved wife of Greg Stone, with whom she shared a life rooted in love, partnership and unwavering support. Dearly loved by her children, Kristen Corbett (Sean), Beth Colwell, Matt Colwell (Ashley), Mark Colwell (Stacey) and loving Step-Mother of Jason Stone (Rebecca), Ryan Stone (Aggie). And mom to many more. Daughter of the late John and Gertrude Coveny. Loving sister of Diane Blackburn (Brad), Tim Coveny (Deb), Christine Romansky (Wally) and Patti (Brad). Armstrong Daughter-in-law of the late Harold and Anna Stone. Sister-in-law of Jennifer Johnston (Late Curt), Randy Stone (Karen). Cherished by many nieces, nephews and foster children. Kerry was the adored Nana to Rhyan, Hannah, Hunter, Jordyn, Londyn, Kenley, Madison, Ryder, Sterling, Cruz and Stella. And will be missed by special friends Paul and Kym Colwell. Kerry spent her entire life in Wallaceburg, raising and caring for her family. Although her house was never the quietest, it was always the place where we found the most comfort. She was always happiest when surrounded by her family. But her most cherished moments are those spent with her grandchildren. Beyond her own family, Kerry opened her heart and home as a foster mother for many years. She had a rare gift for caring for others, offering safety, encouragement and unconditional love to those who needed it the most. Her kindness left a lasting impact on countless lives, and her influence will be felt for generations to come. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the family she loved, the children she nurtured and the many hearts she touched. The family would like to thank Dr. Wheeler and nurses at the Chatham-Kent Hospice as well as Dr. Mount, Dr. Barghi and the Oncology Department at London Health Sciences Centre. We will be forever grateful for your compassionate care throughout Kerry's journey.
