Kale was born in Walpole Island and was the son of the late Maurice Sands Sr. and Carolyn Shipman .

Beloved companion of Carla Kewayosh.

Loving father of Anika Altiman (Clint Jacobs), Brennan Altiman (Courtney Rose), Corey Sands and Danielle Sands.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren Mackenzie Bishop, Nolan Altiman, Brodie Altiman, Mason Altiman, Shaawnonoo Altiman, Waawaatesi Altiman and Ziibing Altiman.

Kind brother of Lyle Shipman, Ken Shipman Sr., Andrea Shipman, Angel Shipman, Cheryl Aquash, Warren Gene Shipman (Ben), Alanna Shipman, Lyndil Shipman, Kelly Shipman, Maurice Sands, Ken Sands, Michelle Sands and James Sands.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by three brothers Robert Dale Sands, Clint Shipman and Mitch Aquash and one sister Amelia Lucille Sands.
