Mrs. Judith (Judy) De Kort of Wallaceburg passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, "Sydenham Campus", Wallaceburg, at the age of 66. Judy was born in Pennsylvania, U.S.A. and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Brice. As an active member in the CBD club, she served on the Board of Directors for many years. Beloved wife of Phil De Kort, loving mother of Derek (Lidia) De Kort, Cari De Kort, Darren (Beth) De Kort and Deneane (George) McAuley. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Charlsey, Kaden, Georden, Jersey & Dayton. Predeceased by a grandchild Devon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Kind sister of Eleanor Kupke, Jean McCarthy, Deb (Jim) Rothery, Linda Robbins and the late Arthur Brice Jr. Kind sister-in-law of Betty Brice, Martha Bird, Ann Holmes, Rose (Fred) Deweyn, Betty (John) Willams, Jenny De Kort and the late August De Kort. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association may be left at the funeral home. A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Saturday, November 24th at 1:00pm at the Legion (upstairs) in Wallaceburg. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in Memory of Judith Darlene DeKort.
