Mrs. Joy Idelle Kern , a resident of Wallaceburg , passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Fairfield Park, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 84.

Joy was born in Marybourgh Township, Ontario and was a daughter of the late Thomas and Vera I. ( Saigeon ) C osford.

Beloved wife of the late Donald Kern.

Loving mother of Tom (Brenda) Kern and Judy Leach.

Sadly missed by her grandchildren Nikki (Ron), Dav e (Sarah) , Jon (Sariah), and her great grandchildren Jillian, Griffin and Owen.

Predeceased by a grandchild Bristol and her brother Neil Cosford.

Friends and family will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. with the Funeral Service immediately following visitation at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg .
