Mrs. Josephine DeKort, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Copper Terrace, in Chatham, at the age of 94. Josephine is a daughter of the late Arthur and Alice (Grisales) Botte. Beloved wife of the late Gerald De Kort. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Peter (Dianne) De Kort, Bob (Claire) De Kort and the late Diane De Kort. Dear grandmother of Jerry (Belinda), Gary (Melisa), Nancy (Ed), Jodi (Charlie) and Paul (Jolean). Dear great grandmother of Evan, Cole, Gracie, Phillip, Marcus, Madison and Brooklyn. Predeceased by two brothers Albert and an older brother in his childhood. Arrangements entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Visitation will take place on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Wallaceburg with the Funeral Mass to be celebrated immediately following at 12 noon with Fr. Raju Allumpurath, Celebrant. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Charity of Your Choice may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in Memory of Josephine DeKort.
