Mr. Joseph Alexander "Alex" Houle, of Sarnia, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance at the age of 90 years. He was a member of the 403 Airforce Wing in Sarnia, a local 793 operating engineers, an active member in the Royal Canadian Legion in Sarnia and at the CBD club. He was a son of the late Francis and Annie (Anderson) Houle. Predeceased by his first wife Bridgett (Toms) Houle and his second wife Anne (DeBurger) Houle. Dear friend of Norma Millward. Dear father of Marie (Albert) Hurst, Butch (Colleen) Houle, George Houle, Alex (Sylvia) Houle, Steven (Yvonne) Houle, Delas and Pat Rabideau, Betty Merritt (Leo), Bonnie (Larry) Nevills and Bob (Rita) Garsnell. Predeceased by his sons Edward and Joe and his daughters-in-law Cynthia Houle and Doris Rabideau. Loving grandfather and great grandfather of many. Kind brother of Warren (Pauline) and Don (Cecile). Predeceased by his brothers Earl, Frank, Jack and James, his sisters Marie and Rita and sisters-in-law Mary and Joan. Will be missed by his best friend Muffy. Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral mass will be held at 10am from Sacred Heart Church in Port Lambton.
