He lived his life with strength, determination and tenacity.....he left this world on his own terms in his own time... John Allan "Jack" Hornick of Wallaceburg passed away on Tuesday May 21/2013. Son of the late Allan and Margaret (Deighton) Hornick. Loved husband of Ev (Demers) Hornick for 59 and ½ years. Treasured father of Brenda (Roy) Wilton, Sheldon (Wendy) Hornick , Lisa (Jim) Gooding and predeceased by infant son Richard John . Papa will be sadly missed by his grandkids Jana (Wes), Jeff (Sam), Derek, John and Jennifer. His great grandkids, Jamie, Matthew, Zackary and Colby will always remember their "Papa by the water" with love. John leaves behind sisters Ella Dowswell, Madeline (Norman) Colbourne, Margaret (Sam) Kershaw and Betty (Bob) Krisza. Meeting him on his journey are brothers Kenneth, George and Leo. John rested at Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke or Diabetes Association may be left at the funeral home. At Johns request there will be no visitation or service...he has gone fishing.
