Mr. John Bogaart, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Chatham-Kent Hospice, in Chatham, at the age of 90.

John was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late Peter and Mathilde (Pieters) Bogaart.

Beloved husband of Doreen (Burm) Bogaart.

Loving father of Marianne (Pat) Murphy, Mark (Bonnie) Bogaart, Steven (Tina) Bogaart and the late Robert Bogaart.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren Steven (Morgan), Lauren (Cody), Brandon, Nicholas (Sara), Leah, Brianna and his great grandchildren Hank, Coulter, Waylon, Ryan and Claire.

Predeceased by his sister Mary (the late Julien) Vancoillie, Annie (the late Jerome) Everaert.

Kind brother in law of Jean (George) VanDamme, Joan (the late Paul) Bogaert, Paula (the late Joseph) Burm and the late Marjorie (Henry) Laevens and the late Constant (the late Diane) Burm.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St. , Wallaceburg, on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 26, 2022 from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Wallaceburg, at 11:00 a.m.

Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
