Obituary

Mr. Jim "Digger" Hagen, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the age of 71. Jim was a son of the late Harry and Helen (Simpson) Hagen. He will be greatly missed by his loving partner Beverly Eves, his children Michelle (Terry) Bea, James (Darlene) Hagen, his brothers Jerry Hagen, Patrick (Arline) Hagen, his sisters Christine (Bob Leach) Hagen, Barbara (Jamie McDougall) Van Der Gulik, his grandchildren Jessie Bardawill, Christopher Rose, Stephanie Hagen, James Hagen and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Louis Bardawill. Cremation will take place. Friends will be received at the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 18, Wallaceburg on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 1-2 p.m. with a Memorial Service immediately following at 2 p.m. with Rev. Brian Horrobin, Officiant. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 18 may be left at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.ericfnichollsfuneralhome.com. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Jim Hagen.
