Mr. Jerome Everaert, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, "Sydenham Campus", Wallaceburg, at the age of 80 years. Jerome was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late Maurice and Godelieve (Van Damme) Everaert. Beloved husband of Annie (Bogaart) Everaert. Loving father and father-in-law of Joanne & Brad Stanlick of Port Lambton and Marshall & Nina Everaert of Wallaceburg. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jennifer (Brian) Vink, Mark (Erin) Everaert, Andrew (Melanie) Stanlick and Mitchell (Roxanne) Stanlick. Dear great grandfather of Colin, Mila, Jayde, Baine and Nash. Kind brother and brother-in-law of Maurice & Linda Everaert, Paul & Cathy Everaert, Estella (the late Elmer) Van Dommelen, Germaine and Louis Burm, Mary (the late Lucien) Delaey, Marshall Van Damme, John and Doreen Bogaart and Mary (the late Julien) Vancoillie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Angela and her husband Edmund Van Damme and Helen Van Damme Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Friday, June 24, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Prayers will be 3:30 pm on Friday at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 25, 2011 from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Wallaceburg at 10:30am with Fr. Greg Bonin, Celebrant. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home.
