Mr James "Jim" Robinson, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 82 years.
Jim was born in Melissa, Ontario and is a son of the late William and Helen (Kinny) Robinson.
Beloved husband of the late Jeanne (Boudreau) Robinson.
Loving father and father-in-law of Brian (Carol) Robinson, Brenda Robinson, Greg (Andrea) Robinson, Jill (Chris) Prescott, Billy Robinson and Mike (Cynthia) Robinson.
Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jennie (Kyle) Lozon, Tonia (Peter) Robinson, Evan (Maddison) Robinson, Jesse (Jace) Tetrault, Erin (Lucais)Tetrault, Eric Robinson and Bridget Robinson and 5 great grandchildren.
Kind brother and brother-in-law of Barb Kilbride and Peter (Carol) Robinson.
Jim was predeceased by his son Mike Robinson, brother Ron Robinson and brother-in-law Wally Kilbride. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Many knew Jim and Jeanne through their business, Robinsons Esso. Jim had a reputation as an honest and hardworking mechanic that was charitable to many in difficult times. He lived a full life and will be remembered as a good man in the true sense of the word. The family will cherish fond memories of summers on the lake in his '63 ChrisCraft.
Jim loved Jeanne, children, golf, birds, nature, a good book, and in his younger years, fishing.
A favourite quote: All men die; some never lived.
At Jim's request cremation has taken place.
Friends and family will be received at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 800 Murray Street, Wallaceburg, on Thursday, March 1st, 2018 for a Celebration of Life, from 2 - 4:30p. m. Interment will be at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the St. Clair Conservation Area or War Amps or St. Vincent De Paul Society may be left at the funeral home.
