Mrs. Helen Matlovich, a resident of Wallaceburg , passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Fairfield Park, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 89.

Helen was born in Chatham and was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary ( Hubacek ) Svehla.

Beloved wife of the late John Matlovich (1985).

Loving mother of Charlotte (Michael) Wichtacz, Marian (Paul) Curtin, James (Katherine) Matlovich, Robert Matlovich, Cynthia (the late Larry) Crombey, John (Lisa) Matlovich, Gerald Matlovich, William Matlovich and Karen Matlovich.

Sadly missed by her grandchildren Peter, Christopher, Carolyn, Michael, Nicholas, Matthew, Stephen, Emily, Samantha, Paul, Benjamin and her great grandchildren Olivia, Evelyn, Vivianne, Vera, Vaughn and Carmen

Kind sister and sister-in-law of Virginia "Jean" Uher, Shirley Piacek, Mary Gagnier and Angela Svehla. Predeceased by her brother Peter Svehla and her sisters Josephine Bunda, Mary Schindler, Lillian Pearson, Rose Allen and Anne Stacey.

Also Survived by many nieces and nephews.

The late Helen Matlovich is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg . A private family interment will follow.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
