Obituary

Mrs. Grace Dezan, a resident of Wallaceburg, formerly of Beebe, Quebec passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, "Public General Campus", Chatham, at the age of 83. Grace was born in Quebec and was a daughter of the late Arthur and Annie (Johnston) Henderson. She is predeceased by her husband, Donald Montie Dezan (1991), her son Arthur Dezan, her daughter Nancy Cruickshank and her granddaughter, Monique Corriveau Cadet. Grace is survived by her children: Mary & Bryan Perrault of Lennoxville, Quebec, David & Linda Dezan of Fall River, Nova Scotia, Maxine Malloy of Wallaceburg, Elizabeth & Mario Grenier of Perth, Ontario, Kathy & Peter Mulligan of Perth, Ontario, Judy & Robert Rabideau of Wallaceburg and son-in-law Elmer Cruickshank of Port Lambton. Also survived by her brothers: Charles (Daphne) Henderson of Perth, Ontario, Douglas (Charity) Henderson of Derby Line, Vermont, and her sister, Elizabeth Harrison of Stanstead, Quebec. Sadly missed by 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, (Ph # 519 627 2861). Honouring her wishes, cremation has taken place and the interment of ashes will take place at a later date in Beebe, Quebec. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.ericfnichollsfuneralhome.com. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Grace Dezan.
