Mr. Glen Edward Thurston, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2011 at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of 52 years to Teresa (Hussey) Thurston. Loving father of Susan (Robin Wylie) Thurston, Glenn (Tanya) Thurston, Carol (the late Jeff) Wuorinen and Jacqueline (Greg) Dally. Dear grandfather of Erin, Jacqueline, Megan, Emily, Brandon, Janna and Sean. Dear great grandfather of Carmella, Claire and Brady. Kind brother of Gayle Thurston and Eileen Sheard. Predeceased by his parents Willard and Blanche (McCoy) Thurston, his brothers Ed, Ken, Ron, Gerald, Lindsay Smiley , and a sister Marion. Visitation will be at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, (639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg) on Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11 am. Fr. Greg Bonin Celebrant. Cremation will follow. Donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #18 Memorial Fund may be left at the funeral home.
