Mr. George Vynckier, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, in Chatham, at the age of 92 years. He was born in Windsor, Ontario and was a son of the late Victor and Leonie (Speeckhaert) Vynckier. Beloved husband of Helen (Foster) Vynckier. Dear father and father-in-law of Jim & Cindy Vynckier, Gary & Darlene Vynckier, Rick & Shelley Vynckier and Janice & John Vankerkhoven. Loving grandfather of Jeff, Carolyn, Melissa, Kyle, Tim, Chad, Adam, Shauna and Amy. Loving great grandfather of Maiya and Lucas. Kind brother and brother-in-law of Bob & Francine Vynckier and Maurice & Rose Vynckier. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Agusta (late George) Hamilton, Mary (late Ivan) Capiau, Betty (late Charles) Jacques and his brother Joe Vynckier. The late George Vynckier is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Knights of Columbus Prayers will be at 6:45 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at 11am from Holy Family Church. Interment in Riverview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association may be left at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.ericfnichollsfuneralhome.com . As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of George Vynckier.
