Mr. George Countryman, a resident of Dover Centre, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the age of 82 years. George was born in Dover Township and was a son of the late Howard and Beatrice May (Kreiger) Countryman. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Countryman (2013). Loving father of Phil (Sandy), Dan, Paul (April), Mike, Chris (Tylene), Rob (Lisa) and Pete (Jen). Dear grandfather of Dave, Lisa, Crystal, Ryan, Mitch, Matt, Rachael, Greta, Emma, Stephanie, Mackenzie, Bailey, and great grandfather of Avery, Gabriel, Curt, Jack, Jeffery and Hendrix. Kind brother of Edward (Sharron) Countryman and brother-in-law of Bernice Countryman. Predeceased by a son David Lawrence Countryman and a brother Jack Countryman. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from Holy Family Church in Wallaceburg with Fr. Jacek Kokosa, Celebrant. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Holy Family Church Roof Fund may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of George Countryman.
