Mr. Francis Joseph Vermette, a resident of Wallaceburg passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, in Chatham, at the age of 74.

Francis was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late Bernard and Kathryne (Murray) Vermette.

Survived by his children Kyle Vermette and April Hudson (Tom).

Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jessica and Tommy.

Kind brother of Gaye Ritchie, Luan Vermette and Aaron Vermette.

Predeceased by two grandchildren David and Sarah and his brothers Murray, Kevin, David and sisters Sissy, Mary and Angela.

The late Francis Vermette rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.

Following his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life at a later date.
