Peacefully, with her family by her side, Evelyn Isabelle (Douglas) Ameriault, of Wallaceburg, passed away at Fairfield Park on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the age of 99. Born in Sombra Township, Evelyn was the daughter of the late George and Marybelle (Abrams) Douglas. Beloved wife of the late Stan Ameriault (2002) and the late Wes Brown (1962). Loving mother of Mary Lyn (Jim) King, Wayne (Kathy) Brown, Tim (Debbie) Brown, and Todd (Trisha) Brown. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Lynn Brown. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Bridget (Brian), Ian, Susan (Al), Jason (Mandy), Stephanie (John), Jodilyn (Ashley), Wesley (Jade), Davis (Sydney), Ashley and her great-grandchildren Bradley, Brandon, James, Madelyn, Gracelyn, Michael, Benjamin, Ethan, Adalie, Blake, Luke, Jaxon, Layla, Grayson, and Myla. Dear sister-in-law of Betty Douglas. Predeceased by her brother John Douglas. Evelyn loved spending time with her family and being outdoors, whether fishing, camping, or gardening. She worked at Dominion Glass until her retirement and treasured the friendships and memories she made with her Bible study group, the church ladies, and the Glasshouse Girls. She enjoyed baking pies, reading her Bible, and keeping her home spotless.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Fairfield Park for their kindness, compassionate care, and support over the years.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home.

Family and friends are invited to visitation at First Baptist Church, 99 Thomas Avenue, Wallaceburg, on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until noon. A service celebrating Evelyn’s life will follow immediately.
