Mrs. Edna Mildred Young, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012 at the age of 92 years. Edna was born in Wallaceburg and was a daughter of the late Otis and Melvina (Crozier) Magee. Predeceased by her 1st husband, William Anderson and her 2nd husband, Ralph Young. Loving mother of Pat (Jim) Walker, Dorothy (Robert) Davidson, Judy (Tom) Digou, Dan (Lois Scott) Young, Rick (Joanne) Young, Nancy (Randy) Yacks, Charlie (Alice) Young, Roxanne (Dan) Thomson and mother-in-law of Harold Gehl. Sadly missed by 37 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughters Sandra Gehl and Brenda Anderson, a daughter-in-law, Sheri Young, a grandson, Jason Young, a great grandchild and her sisters and brothers Margaret, Bert, Cliff, Alice, Norman "Huck", Dorothy, Nellie, Ern, Wanda, Ed and Andy. Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Legion Ladies Auxiliary service will be at 7 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army or the Ladies Auxiliary of the Wallaceburg Legion may be left at the funeral home.
