Mrs. Dora Jean Roebuck, a lifelong resident of Chatham and recently of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Fairfield Park, at the age of 90. Dora Jean was born in Becher and was a daughter of the late William and Louisa (Dell) Abrams. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Chatham and a Charter Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, Br. 28, Chatham. Beloved wife of the late Frank Roebuck (1985). Loving mother and mother-in-law of: Judy (Jack), Sandy (Keith), Bob (Iris), and Sherrill. Sadly missed by her grandchildren: Greg, Beth, Brad, Wayne, Clifford, Shannon, Tracy, Lisa, Kim, Larry, Gary, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by six brothers and five sisters: Oliver, Stan, George, Roy, Ben, Don, Mary, Margaret, Erma and Flora. Predeceased by two sons, Bill (1980) and Dick (2006). Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 11-1pm with the service immediately following, in the chapel of the funeral home, at 1pm. Cremation will follow with the interment of ashes in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham at a later date.
