Mr. Cyriel Joseph Lauwereys, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the age of 78 years.
Cyriel was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late Lloyd and Mary (Seys) Lauwereys.
Beloved husband of Barb (Elliott) Lauwereys.
Loving father of Anne-Marie (Daren) Cadogan and Paul (Margaret) Lauwereys.
Kind brother and brother-in-law of Maurice Lauwereys, Robert (Sherri) Lauwereys, Albert (Lena) Lauwereys, Margaret Hanson, Veronica Bishop, Janet Cornelius, Jeannie (Dick) Vandendool, Phyllis (Fred) Johnson, Dianne Elliott, Shirley (Jerry) Pickering, Lois (John) Oxley, Pauline Owen and Paul (Cathy) Elliott.
Predeceased by his brother Michael Lauwereys, his sister Linda Jackson and his brothers-in-law Barry Cornelius and Ray Elliott.
Following Cyriel's wishes, cremation will take place.
Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 28, 2017 from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, in Wallaceburg, at 10:30 a.m.
Interment of ashes will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Vincent de Paul or the Canadian Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home.
