Mr. Charles Babbitt, of Wallaceburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in Wallaceburg at the age of 78 years. He was a son of the late Charles Wesley and Catherine (Yax) Babbitt. Beloved husband of 57 years to Evelyn (Wilde) Babbitt. Devoted father and Papa of David (Clare), and children Ryan and Andrew; Doug (Cindy) and children David, Erin and Wes; Patty (Ralph) Huizinga and children Jesse, Curt, Cam and Tristen; and John (Dionne) and children Erik, Mitchell, Brent and Adrienne. Loving brother of Jim (Marjorie) Babbitt of Caseville, Michigan; Isabelle (Cornell) Homorodean of Burlington; Marion Murphy of Wallaceburg; and John (Betty) Babbitt of Wallaceburg. Brother-in-law of Marie Wilde of Perth, Ontario. Charles is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Virginia (1950), brother-in-law Tom Murphy (1999), brother-in-law Donald Wilde (2002), and sister-in-law Kathleen Wilde (2012). Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11am from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Brian Horrobin, Officiant. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association may be left at the funeral home.
