Mrs. Barbara Lauwereys, of Wallaceburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General Campus, in Chatham, at the age of 82.
Barbara was born in Wallaceburg and was a daughter of the late John and Jennie (Labadie) Blake.
Beloved wife of the late Peter Lauwereys (2015).
Loving mother of Cindy (Tim) Shepley, Wendy (Chris) Gauthier and the late Joanne Lauwereys. Dear grandmother of Greg (Tiffany) Adam (Beth-Anne) Jason (Danielle) Jeff (Virginia) Jamie (Charles) Stacey (John) and Brad. Great grandmother of Hunter, Aubrey, Hope, Parker, Vincent, Danielle, Vaughn, Madison, Hailey, Quinton, Chloe, Layne and Olivia.
Kind sister and sister-in-law of Calvin & Sharon Blake, Lila Paddon, Eileen & Frank Allaer, Connie & Don Poissant and Cathy Blake.
Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Edward, Gordon, Bernard, Jimmy, Jack, Dan, Theresa, Bella, Mary, Dorothy, Kathleen, Georgina and Jeannette.
Friends and family will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, in Wallaceburg, at 11:00 a.m.
Cremation will follow.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Vincent de Paul may be left at the funeral home.
