Mrs. Anne Brookes, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the age of 76 years. Anne was born in Stourbridge, England and was a daughter of Leslie and Lillian (Orme) Hollings. Beloved wife of Gordon Richard Brookes. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Richard and Christina Brookes. Sadly missed by 3 grandchildren Connor, Justin and Hayley. Loving sister in law of Lillian (Len) Lumsden and Doreen (Phil) Knott. Special cousin of Madeline Utting. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Anne shared her love of gardening, arts and crafts with family and friends. She was also an avid sports grandmother attending as many soccer and hockey games as she could. A Past President of Sydenham Campus Auxiliary and had been an enthusiastic committee member for many years; helping with several fundraising activities. In particular, the palliative care unit in Wallaceburg. Was Past President and committee member of the Hospital Auxiliary Association of Ontario. We love you and will miss you very much.
