Mr. Andre Chatel a resident of Wallaceburg passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Wallaceburg, at the age of 76.

Andre was born in Saint Hyacinthe, Quebec and was a son of the late Wilfred Fernand and Annette (Belle-Isle) Chatel.

Beloved husband of Norma (Nottley) Chatel.

Loving father of Michael Chatel and Andy (Krystle) Chatel.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren Brayden, Mackayla, Cohen and Drew.

Kind brother of John (Marilyn) Chatel and the late Robert (Bonnie) Chatel and brother-in-law of Jim Nottley.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by an infant sister Mariette, an infant brother Henri, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Elda and Ed Nottley and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Tressa and Bob Loosemore.

Andre retired from Canada Post after many years of service and was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan.

Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 4-7 p.m.  The Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 12 noon.

Interment will follow in Wilkesport Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to Sunnybrook Foundation Dementia Research or the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
