Mr. Alvin E. Bennett a resident of Wallaceburg passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Sydenham Campus, in Wallaceburg at the age of 84 years. Alvin was born in Sombra Township and was a son of the late Clifford and Ida (Moore) Bennett. Husband of the late Beatrice (Richmond) Bennett. Dear father of Larry (April) Bennett, Linda (Bart) Ellis and Lori (Terry) Fox. Loving grandfather of Heather, Crystal, Dennis, Christopher (Annette), Alicia, Bill, Jeremy (Tabitha) and Merissa. Great grandfather of Samantha, Lilliana, Kadin, Telisa, Lukus and Austin. Kind brother of Eileen (Bruce) McNeil. Dear companion of Deb Gyuricza. Predeceased by his brothers Clifton and Victor. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will take place at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from the funeral home at 1pm. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Alzheimers Society may be left at the funeral home.
