Mr. Alfred Hansen, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Fairfield Park, Wallaceburg at the age of 89. Alfred was born in Winnipeg and was a son of Mayer and Yohanna (Rayne) Hansen. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary "Dixie" (Brown) Hansen (2007). Loving father of Deb (Jeff) Lucier, Mary Ellen (John) Dionne, Anita (Dave) Hyatt and Kjelb (Mary Ann) Hansen. Sadly missed by 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Kind brother of Buster (Muriel) Helmer and brother-in-law of Violet Hansen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson David Roe Hyatt and his brothers and sisters Lloyd , Melvin, Thelma, Stella and Alfhild "Johanna" . Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Parkinson Foundation or the Arthritis Society may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Alfred Hansen.
