Mr. Alan Ranald Macdonell, a resident of Port Lambton, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the age of 63 years. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Morris) Macdonell. Dear father and father-in-law of Greer & Tyler Hurst, Cameron & Crystal Macdonell, and Megan Macdonell. Dear grandfather of Liam and Miranda. Kind brother and brother-in-law of Bernie Macdonell, Roxane & Robbie Stewart, Judith Macdonell, Pam & Paul Mastronardi, Mary Macdonell, Lorainne & Tim Gorzeman, Heather & Glenn Dagenais and Wai Macdonell. Son-in-law of Elizabeth Morris. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter Glynis (2002) and a brother Bruce (2011). Son of the late Angus and Yolande (Foisy) Macdonell. The late Alan Macdonell is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home (639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg). Friends will be received on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 11am from the funeral home. Cremation following.
